All I Can Do

I feel the malevolent thunder
coming from the Right
a howling nativistic storm
led by the Orange monster
swirling and marshaling
for their inevitable attack

And all I can do,
is breathe the fearful angry air
hold the people and things
I love tighter and deeper
and unflinchingly prepare

To hit back with
a brutal and merciless precision
of my own
with a steely reserve
I will resist
I will fight

Words with Words
Ideas with Ideas
Fire with Fire

With my brothers and sisters in arms,
I will wage political war
louder and harder
then my enemies.
Like my very existence,
my country’s very existence
depends upon it.

Because it does
Brothers and Sisters
It does
