Jealousy

I have been around enough jealousy
to feel the murky scent of the
green vibe wafting through
a room masked in a
scented musk to attract
all who look their way.
Of course I don’t care to look
as I want my heart, talent
and life to be intact
without the misguided
guise of support and likeminded
kindness only to be led
to a pit with a dare to
fall in and break so they
can put the pieces back
to look like it was fate
and not their mistake.
