The After

You make me high
And soft
I sink myself into you
As I feel you slowly slipping away
I hold onto this feeling, this place of happiness, of silly smiles and heat
Even when you leave, you leave me brighter and I leave my mark on you too
I never realised before
That you want me as much as I want you
I know the sadness will come later,
A hole in the shape of you opening up inside of me
I can feel it now, the perforations opening up in the usual places
The tears will come too but only after this.
